Cucumber Melon and Soy Smoothie

Soybeans are a great low fat source of proteins that have been linked with lowering cholesterol levels. Soy is also good if you are a woman experience hot flashes from menopause. I have recently started making an effort to eat extra soy in order to address hot flashes.

This smoothie has refreshing melon and cucumber, plus soy beans (edamame). Make it with water for a light drink or use soy milk if you want to to increase your soy intake even more.

  • ½ cup of cucumber
  • 1 cup of melon
  • 3/4 cup of boiled soybeans
  • 4-5 basil leaves
