Vitamin C comes from more than just oranges! This Vitamin C Pink Smoothie was sent in by a reader and is certainly unique! This is a good antioxidant smoothie and well balanced to use for breakfast.

Celery is a treasure trove when it comes to anti-oxidant compounds. Aside from flavonoids and its vitamin C content, it also contains several other phenolic anti-oxidant nutrients that have the capacity to protect organ systems, blood vessels and cells from oxidation.

Lemon is also used in this smoothie for adding flavor,citrus tang, and more Vitamin C.

Beets and strawberries give the smoothie a pink tinge, while a bit of avocado adds healthy fat to fill you up and makes for a nice texture.

This smoothie is a good source of manganese, vitamins C and E plus dietary fiber. It is low in cholesterol.

  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 apple, cored and sliced
  • ¼ of an avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 1 stick celery
  • 1 piece beet
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • Almond milk to fill line
  1. Add all ingredients to your large nutribullet cup, saving almond milk for last.
  2. Once you have filled the cup with almond milk to the fill line, puree ingredients to desired consistency.
