The Apple Crisp Smoothie takes inspiration from apple crisp with apple as the star and oats and cinnamon playing a supporting role. It taste like apple pie or crisp without the high amounts of sugar and saturated fat. Apples are high in fiber and packed full of antioxidants that can help prevent certain diseases. Banana adds smoothness and walnuts give it protein. If you want to cut the calories a bit, replace the honey stevia. Note also that you do not have to boil the apples, but doing so will make the smoothie creamier. The same goes for the oats. You can toss them in uncooked if you want, or cook them for smoothness.
