Banana Beet Smoothie
This is a great Nutribullet diet smoothie. Beets have recently come into focus when it comes to health conscious dieters because beets not only contain valuable fiber and nutrients it also provides amazing benefits. Examples of these benefits are: detoxifying effects on liver and blood, anti-carcinogenic properties against prostate, breast and pancreatic cancer, plus the ability to boost stamina. This smoothie is rich in protein and accounts for 29% of the DV (daily value), the carbs at 18% DV and fats at 1% DV. It provides a well rounded but not too terribly high in calories smoothie that would be suitable as a meal replacement.

Ingredients
- ½ medium banana, sliced
- 1 medium beet root
- ½ medium apple, cored and sliced
- Skim milk to fill line
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to your large nutribullet cup, saving skim milk for last.
- Once you have filled the cup with skim milk to the fill line, puree ingredients to desired consistency.

Do you boil the beet first, or just peel and ???
I just cut beets into chunks and put those in raw. If you clean it first, you don’t even have to peel it.
