Strawberry Mango and Almond Smoothie

This is a higher calorie smoothie, good for a meal replacement, post workout, or weight gain. I love it as a distance runner for adding carbs to my diet to fuel long runs or races. It can also be turned into a lower calorie smoothie by using milk, almond milk, or soy milk in place of the coconut milk and omitting the honey.

Strawberry Almond Smoothie


Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, which is a vital antioxidant. Berries also are a good source of  manganese and fiber. Almonds are high in magnesium, calcium, and iron. Mango adds vitamin A, another important antioxidant your body needs for cell repair. If you use fresh strawberries add ice cubes to this smoothie to make it into a frosty treat.

  • 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ cup mango
  • 3-4 almonds (soaked overnight)
  • coconut milk to the fill line
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  1. Add items to the Nutribullet. Add ice if desired and fill to the fill line with coconut milk. regular milk or water may be substituted. Blend and go!
