Gingered Fruits, Veggies & Nuts Smoothie
Maca is a native plant of the Peruvian mountains. It is rich in amino acids, minerals and vitamins. It is also known to increase fertility, improve libido and balance your hormones. This smoothie recipe is rich in omega-3 fatty acids with a total of 2.6 grams. There is no recommended daily value for omega-3 FAs but according to mayo clinic, it can vary based on individual needs and conditions.

Gingered Fruits, Veggies & Nuts Smoothie
Maca powder, to those who don’t know is a root of a vegetable that is a close cousin of the radish family.
Ingredients
- A stick of celery – optional for added taste
- 1 tbsp virgin coconut oil
- 14 halves of walnuts
- 1 tsp acai berry powder
- 2 tsp maca powder
- 1 cup spinach
- ½-inch piece ginger, peeled
- 1 frozen banana
- Coconut water to fill line
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to your large nutribullet cup, saving coconut water for last.
- Once you have filled the cup with coconut water to the fill line, puree ingredients to desired consistency.
