Tropical Coconut Smoothie

I love this Tropical Coconut Smoothie for summer. It is perfect for sitting by the pool or as a refreshing smoothie on a hot day.

This coconut smoothie  is full of tropical ingredients including mango, pineapple, and coconut. Tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple are full of essential vitamins and minerals.

Coconut products in particular are packed with nutrients. Coconut water is low in sugar and high in electrolytes for optimal hydration. Shredded coconut is full of minerals such as manganese, selenium, and zinc and also contains healthy medium chain fats.

I like coconut water as an electrolyte replacement after exercise as well. It is better than drinking a sugary sports drink, but its flavor alone can turn off some people. Mixed in a smoothie it is perfect!

Coconut water is also great in cocktails!  For example, try this tasty ocean water cocktail, which an adult take on Sonic Drive-In’s drink. It is made with coconut water, pineapple juice, blue Curaçao, and coconut rum. Yum!!!

Drink the Tropical Coconut Smoothie for a refreshing, hydrating drink full of essential vitamins and minerals.

The almonds in this are to add a bit more protein. You can omit them if desired to cut calories a bit.
