  1. if I hate spinach as I do may I skip it? I see most of the recipes include it, but I hate it since I was kid – I could replace it with mint or basil?

    1. Yes, you can skip it or replace it. If using basil though, go easy on the amount. The flavor of it can overwhelm the other ingredients. I imagine that mint would be pretty good in a lot of vegetable based smoothies and even some fruit ones. I’ll have to try formulating some with it!

    1. I would have this just once per day. It isn’t meant to be a full stand alone detox program. It is simply a smoothie that is aimed to provide healthy fiber and probiotics.

  2. Hi I’m new to nutribullet. I’m confused by the amount of sodium in the smoothies. I was told to check labels and never have more than 3g but some of these recipes have 70+ grams. Am I looking into it too much?

    1. Hi! Any leafy green veggie will be a good substitute. I especially like Kale as a substitute for spinach.
